"When you begin to think outside the box, you often become some other "leaders" lousy follower. That usually costs something" (Andy Rayner)

"Our guardian angels are bored." (Mike Foster)

It's where I feel I'm at these days. “In the second half of life, it is good just to be a part of the general dance. We do not have to stand out, make defining moves, or be better than anyone else on the dance floor. Life is more participatory than assertive, and there is no need for strong or further self-definition” (Falling Upward. Richard Rohr.120).

10/40 Window Gone Askew!

"A missions mobilizer says he heard of a church that was struggling with whether or not to back a missionary headed for Japan. The sticking point was not the character, calling, or gifts of the man. Nor was it his intended ministry. Instead, it was whether his work would be situated in the Window. Japan, it turns out, is only partly in the Window, and the church wanted to be sure the missionary's ministry was physically in the Window. Remember that the Window is a man-made creation nowhere found in the pages of Scripture. While no one disputes a church's right and responsibility to act as it believes God is directing, this is clearly an example of the tail (the Window) wagging the dog (setting priorities in missions).
