"When you begin to think outside the box, you often become some other "leaders" lousy follower. That usually costs something" (Andy Rayner)

"Our guardian angels are bored." (Mike Foster)

It's where I feel I'm at these days. “In the second half of life, it is good just to be a part of the general dance. We do not have to stand out, make defining moves, or be better than anyone else on the dance floor. Life is more participatory than assertive, and there is no need for strong or further self-definition” (Falling Upward. Richard Rohr.120).

Illustration: Amy Carmichael in India, Tireless worker

Amy Carmichael worked with factory girls in England. They called them shawllies because they could not afford English hat's and bonnets like the average people of means did. They instead pulled their shawls over their heads. She over 500 meeting in one place to study the bible, and stated a second. Until she felt called to India. She was convicted she had to go single. Oh she wanted to be married like most people. But it would keep here from serving her Lord without obligation to a family, and she knew that. So She gave up here right to a family. She began to take in Temple babies and children. Young women who were sold to the temple to be used like prostitutes by the Hindu's. In the end she was rescuing children form the temple and had well over 1000 in her care. She worked tirelessly.

A Fellow missionary insisted that Amy take a break from her work.

"……..Thomas Walker insisted that Amy depart for Ooty before the hot weather set in. As she prepared to leave, Thomas Walker gasped, "Why are all these children carrying bundles?" "They're going with me." "But you are supposed to rest in Ooty." "I'm only taking twelve of them!"
