For the first time in Christian history, we are on the verge of completing the task. Oh, not saving the whole world. However, for the first time in Christian history we could have Christian workers and churches in every country and among every people group of the world.
This kind of news gets me insatiably excited. However, and element discourages me as well.
We have difficulty finding workers willing to go to these hard places, or when we do finally find them, we have extreme difficulty rallying churches to send them. No small task when the average missions giving per church member in North America is $7:80. Yep "Seven dollars and eighty cents".
Anyway, we should be riding an excited missions craze ( Craze- An interest followed with exaggerated zeal) right now. The Church has advanced further than it ever has in Christian history. We could very well see the Gospel preached "to all nations" in our life time, if we developed some kingdom fortitude and missions imagination.
Matthew 24:14 (TLB)
