"When you begin to think outside the box, you often become some other "leaders" lousy follower. That usually costs something" (Andy Rayner)

"Our guardian angels are bored." (Mike Foster)

It's where I feel I'm at these days. “In the second half of life, it is good just to be a part of the general dance. We do not have to stand out, make defining moves, or be better than anyone else on the dance floor. Life is more participatory than assertive, and there is no need for strong or further self-definition” (Falling Upward. Richard Rohr.120).

10/40 Window - Got What It Takes?

According to Vinoth Ramachandra, "Nine out of ten people in the world have never made a telephone call in their lives. Tokyo has three times as many telephone lines as the whole continent of Africa"

This is how imbalanced technologies and wealth are in the world. We assume the majority of the people in the world have access to such "Advancements". Nope most people don't have a phone, can't afford a phone so if your family & friends are all in the same boat"Who ya goin ta call?"
This is the reality in the last frontiers of the earth,

10/40 Window (Luis Bush)
(Tenth Degree to 40th Degree North of Equater)

Interesting facts about the nations and people who live in this Box called the 10-40 window.

1. 60% of world lives here. (3.2 Billion)
2. 85% of them are the poorest people on the planet.
3. 94% of them not evangelized by Christianity.
4. Only 27% of our missionaries work here.
5. Only 1.2% of missions giving is invested in the 10/40 window.
6. These people are predominantly Muslim, Hindu, & Buddhists.
7. 55 of the most unevangelized countries (97%) are in this box.

To Reach the last of the world, it will take.

1. Extreme commitment to Language learning. (80% of all missionaries work where they can minister in English) English is not even an option in any of these countries.
2. Willingness to submerge in different culture.
3. Probably tent making- These countries are hard to get into.
4. Flexibility & Adaptability.
5. Satisfaction in small results.
6. Living simply.

Got what it takes? If not, that's Ok. At least we know we have something to pray about!
