"When you begin to think outside the box, you often become some other "leaders" lousy follower. That usually costs something" (Andy Rayner)

"Our guardian angels are bored." (Mike Foster)

It's where I feel I'm at these days. “In the second half of life, it is good just to be a part of the general dance. We do not have to stand out, make defining moves, or be better than anyone else on the dance floor. Life is more participatory than assertive, and there is no need for strong or further self-definition” (Falling Upward. Richard Rohr.120).

New Converts who Fall Away (Muslim)

Commenting on Muslim Conversions (Apostasy issues)

“It would be safe to say that quite a few converts from Islam give up their new faith within the first two years of their initial decision. Given the reality of life conditions of Christians living in Islamic countries, we can not fully understand what that “giving up” refers to. In most cases, it is simply a decision to leave the local church and sever relationships with other Christians. Only a small segment of those who leave cite doctrinal issues or have rational reasons for leaving the church. Some return to Islam with greater zeal; some to a quiet life which includes holding their religious convictions to themselves." (pg 510)

Also some interesting comments that will serve very uncomfortable to our western theology. However, the vast majority of people converting form the Muslim faith say they had a dream or something that opened them to consider Jesus Christ.

The Author writes

“Most of the conversion stories include dreams, visitations or other mystical experiences.”
