"When you begin to think outside the box, you often become some other "leaders" lousy follower. That usually costs something" (Andy Rayner)

"Our guardian angels are bored." (Mike Foster)

It's where I feel I'm at these days. “In the second half of life, it is good just to be a part of the general dance. We do not have to stand out, make defining moves, or be better than anyone else on the dance floor. Life is more participatory than assertive, and there is no need for strong or further self-definition” (Falling Upward. Richard Rohr.120).

I Never Felt I Fit With Professional People In Ministry Though I Tried...

"I never felt as if I measured up to or fit in with people who seemed to be professionals in the field of God, even though I tried hard to be one of them. Both as a leader and rank-and-file member, I became disillusioned with institutional church and contemplated chucking Christianity but discovered they were two separate and not nearly equal things. I remember often thinking to myself, There's got to be more to it than this. I'm discovering there is. This journey has cost me, sometimes dearly. One should try to avoid upsetting the religious crowd if at all possible, and things get downright ugly when drilling down to the darkest truths about yourself."
