"When you begin to think outside the box, you often become some other "leaders" lousy follower. That usually costs something" (Andy Rayner)

"Our guardian angels are bored." (Mike Foster)

It's where I feel I'm at these days. “In the second half of life, it is good just to be a part of the general dance. We do not have to stand out, make defining moves, or be better than anyone else on the dance floor. Life is more participatory than assertive, and there is no need for strong or further self-definition” (Falling Upward. Richard Rohr.120).

Focusing On Numbers Stops Feeding Hungry.... shifts to Motivation of Complacent.

"When you become focused on numbers, what ever numbers, once we're focused on numbers then it is not about the hard core person, the really passionate person, it wasn't about feeding the hungry, it's about motivating the complacent. It's about saying and doing and having enough entertainment that we are drawing people here who aren't really serious about the journey.

I had lunch with a man yesterday. One thing he said to his pastor of a growing mega church is, "The thing I most mistrust is you won't say the thing now that might offend two hundred people and they leave because now can't make it work financially." (Wayne Jacobsen. The God Journey Podcast. "The Numbers Game". June 20th, 2014)
