"When you begin to think outside the box, you often become some other "leaders" lousy follower. That usually costs something" (Andy Rayner)

"Our guardian angels are bored." (Mike Foster)

It's where I feel I'm at these days. “In the second half of life, it is good just to be a part of the general dance. We do not have to stand out, make defining moves, or be better than anyone else on the dance floor. Life is more participatory than assertive, and there is no need for strong or further self-definition” (Falling Upward. Richard Rohr.120).

Life Lessons From Momma

LESSONS FROM MUMMA

"When it came to listening

My mother taught me silence. 'If you are drowning their voice with yours

How will you hear them?'

She asked.

• • •

"When it came to speaking

She said,

'Do it with commitment

Every word you say is your own responsibility'   • • •

"When it came to being

She said,

'Be tender and tough at once.

You need to be vulnerable to live fully

But tough enough to survive it all.'

• • •

"When it came to choosing

She asked me to be thankful

For the choices I had

That she never had the privilege

Of making."

- Rupi Kaur. "Lessons From Mumma"
